It will be a new day starting with a recent change as application fees for skills assessments provided by Trade Recognition Australia for the Job Ready Program (JRP) will change and impact every new and current JRP participant.
Job Ready Program (JRP) comprises of four steps Provisional Skills Assessment, Job Ready Employment, Job Ready Workplace Assessment, Job Ready Final Assessment, and each step has its eligibility criteria.
An applicant qualified from an Australian institute or university and has evidence of 360 hours paid employment, or vocational placement is eligible for Provisional Skills Assessment. Once the candidate is successful in step 1 can apply for a skilled graduate (485) visa.
Anyone who has not applied for this step and is going to do it after September 1 2021, comes under the new fee structure and will pay $200 fees.
An applicant should have a successful Provisional Skills Assessment and hold at least 12 months visa with no work limitations. In addition, the candidate should be eligible for employment. If the candidate matches the above criteria and is successful in Job Ready Employment, he/she can proceed further towards step 3.
Anyone who has completed step 1- Provisional Skills Assessment and has to complete step 2 after September 1, 2021, comes under the new fee structure and will pay $450
The candidate applying for step 3 should have completed EVRs & SPRs. In addition, he/She should have evidence of 863 hours in at least 6 months of paid employment.
Participants who have completed step 2 before September 1, 2021 but have to undergo Job Ready Workplace Assessment (Step 3) will go through the new fee structure for step 3.
Every candidate should have completed EVRs before applying for step 4 and should have evidence of 1725 hours of paid employment over 12 months.
He/She have a successful JRWA.
Participants who have completed steps 1,2 and 3 but are still left with step 4- Job Ready Final Assessment will have to undergo new fees structure for step 4.
